Robert L. Mezzetti II, President

Robert Mezzettii II

Rob represents plaintiffs and defendants in general civil litigation, as well as contract and real property matters. He has extensive experience representing plaintiffs in childhood sexual abuse claims and private landowners in eminent domain proceedings, tree and property title disputes. Notable resolutions against the Archbishop of San Francisco include a $21 million settlement and $1.3 million jury verdict.

A member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) and City of San Jose Airport Noise Advisory Committee (ANAC), Rob is also an amateur photographer. He routinely judges the Santa Clara County Mock Trial Competition and sits on the Board of Regents for Archbishop Mitty High School. Rob is a graduate of Santa Clara University Law School and San Jose State University.

Maureen Pettibone Ryan

Maureen Pettibone Ryan

Maureen Pettibone Ryan is an experienced civil litigator. Maureen's practice includes general civil litigation, client counseling, and civil rights litigation. Maureen also has significant experience with dual civil/criminal statutes such as the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), and statutory and common law mandamus. Maureen has represented both Plaintiffs and Defendants in defamation lawsuits, and plaintiffs against the Catholic Church.

Maureen's trial experience includes serving as co-lead counsel in a breach of contract case, working on three separate trial teams as an associate at Quinn Emanuel, and trying eighteen traffic cases before a federal magistrate while working for the Special Assistant United States Attorney (SAUSA) during law school. She also has appeared at several mediations as lead counsel. Maureen has provided pro bono representation to domestic violence victims for San Mateo County Legal Aid, inmates who allege they are wrongfully convicted for the Northern California Innocence Project, parents who allege that they and their children are being unlawfully discriminated against by school districts, and has also represented clients pro bono through the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF).

Robert L. Mezzetti Sr., Of Counsel

Robert Mezzettii Sr.

In addition to maintaining his own separate practice, Robert provides immeasurable assistance to the Mezzetti Law Firm. His nearly sixty years of litigation experience rival today's legal research technology, and he continued to try cases into his eighties.

Robert served as a cadet at the U.S. Military Academy in World War II, and as a Santa Clara Superior Court clerk from 1951-1952. He is a graduate of Santa Clara University Law School and Georgetown University.

DeAnna brings years of experience in forecast analysis and accounting to the bookkeeping department. Her skills are equally well deployed on baseball and soccer fields.

Jane Pardini

Jane Pardini, a thirty-two year veteran of the telephone industry, assists the Mezzetti Law Firm with reception, billing, file administration, and the occasional full breakfast.

Vanessa Gordon, Legal Assistant and Paralegal
